To get your free money, I have to refer you . Please do not request a referral unless you are fairly certain that you want to apply.     Your money at these banks is insured by the FDIC. These banks are able to pay you a high interest rate (most banks pay less than half as much) because they do their business over the web. They also don't issue checks for these accounts, but instead allow you to make for free up to six online transfers per monthly statement between your account with them and your existing checking account(s).

    There is no minimum balance required and no fees are charged. Virtual Bank does require an initial deposit of at least $100. The free money is deposited by the bank in your account upon opening. It may not be withdrawn for the first 30 days. There is also a 10 business day hold on deposits during the first 30 days and a 3 business day hold on deposits afterwards, but other than that you can make withdrawals (to your checking account) or close your account at any time.
